Working with HowFindable
Is the scan really free?
Yes. The scan and your two scores, one for Google and one for AI, are free, with no time limit and no card required. We only charge if you want us to generate the fixed files for you.
Do I have to give my email to see my results?
No. There is no email wall. You paste your URL, we scan it, and you see your scores right away. Most tools make you hand over an email first. We don't.
What do I get if I pay?
The fixed files, ready to upload to your site: robots.txt, llms.txt, structured data (Schema), corrected meta tags, and written content where your pages are thin. It is a one-time payment, not a subscription.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You download a few files and put them in your site, or copy and paste a short snippet into your page. We tell you exactly where each piece goes, step by step.
What do you do with my website data?
We fetch the public content of your site only to score it and, if you pay, to generate your fixes. We use it for nothing else, and we never sell it.
Why don't you just ask ChatGPT if it knows my site?
Because the answer changes every time you ask, so it doesn't tell you much. Instead, we check the signals AI systems actually rely on to find and quote a website. Those are stable, and they're what you can fix.
Is this a subscription?
No. You pay once and you're done. Some tools work differently: they have you paste a snippet of their code into your site and run the fixes live from their own servers, on a monthly plan. With those, the day you stop, everything they added disappears. We don't do that. We hand you the real files, you put them on your site, and they're yours to keep. One payment, no monthly fee, nothing tied to us.
Is this like those emails saying my site isn't ranking on Google?
No, and in some ways we're the opposite. Those are usually templated cold emails sent to thousands of sites, promising a "first page of Google" no one can guarantee, and they make you reply just to get a price. We never email you out of the blue: you come to us, the scan and both scores are free, and we measure the real signals on your site instead of making vague promises. We never ask for your login either.
Ranking on Google and AI
How do I rank higher on Google?
Make your site easy to crawl, easy to understand, and genuinely useful. That means a clean robots.txt and sitemap, clear titles and meta descriptions, a sensible heading structure, and content that answers what people actually search for. Technical hygiene gets you in the race; useful content wins it.
How long does SEO take to work?
Technical fixes, like a missing sitemap or broken meta tags, can be picked up in days to a few weeks. Building authority and ranking for competitive terms usually takes months. The fastest wins are the technical ones, which is exactly what a scan surfaces first.
Why isn't my website showing up on Google?
The usual reasons are simple: the site is blocking crawlers in robots.txt, it has no sitemap, key pages have no clear titles, or the content does not match what people search. Often it is one small technical thing, not your whole site.
How do I get my website to show up in AI answers like ChatGPT?
AI models recommend sites they can read clearly and trust. Help them with structured data (Schema) that says what you are, an llms.txt that points them to your key pages, direct answers to real questions, and clean, citable content. This is what AEO covers.
Can I do SEO myself?
Yes. Most of the high-impact fixes are files and snippets, not a redesign. The hard part is knowing which ones you are missing and getting them right. A scan tells you what is wrong; the fix gives you the files to drop in.
